Murphy Insurance Welcomes Evan Macedo to Our Leadership Team

We are pleased to welcome Evan Macedo to Murphy Insurance as our new Controller.

Evan joins Murphy Insurance with more than 13 years of finance and executive leadership experience, including a decade working within the property and casualty insurance industry. In his role as Controller, he will oversee the agency’s financial operations and help support our long-term growth and strategic planning efforts.

Prior to joining Murphy Insurance, Evan served as Treasurer and Vice President of Finance & Operations at Sapers & Wallack, Inc., where he played a key role in financial management, business planning, and operational leadership.

For Evan, joining Murphy Insurance was an opportunity to become part of an organization known for its commitment to clients, employees, and community.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Evan is actively involved in the broader business and finance community. He serves as Programs Chair and Board Member for Financial Executives International (FEI) Boston and is a member of the CFO Leadership Council. He is also a Club Development Director for USA 500 Clubs’ Back Bay Chapter and hosts the 3rd Thursdays Professional Networking Group, helping foster professional development and connections throughout the region.

Evan holds both a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is also a licensed Life & Health Producer.

A resident of Ashland, Massachusetts, Evan enjoys staying active in the local business community through networking, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, fishing, cooking, 3D printing and product design, home technology projects, and spending time with family and friends.
