Dennis heads Murphy Insurance Agency. In 1960, he joined the agency, which his father, D. Francis “Frank” Murphy started in 1937. He built the agency from a one location operation with a handful of employees to the large regional agency Murphy Insurance is today. He has been a community and industry leader through his career serving on the boards of a wide variety of civic and professional organizations as well as providing financial support. 

 

Dennis is a tireless advocate of education, contributing to the creation of the Worcester County Insurance Institute, funding scholarship programs and mentoring many young professionals. He is a founding member and past president of the Central Mass Chapter of CPCU Society and is a recipient of its Distinguished Lifetime Service Award, recognizing his many contributions to the insurance industry.

Michael Murphy

Michael joined the family agency in 1990. He oversees the daily operations of the agency managing all aspects of the business in conjunction with the entire Management Team. In addition to his leadership role, Michael continues the Murphy tradition of being directly involved with clients. He takes an active role in building and maintaining relationships with new and longtime customers...both personal and business. He is also active in the community serving on a number of community organizations.

David joined Murphy Insurance in 2016 and oversees overall agency operations in conjunction with the management team. He has over 25 years of insurance industry experience with large insurance companies as well as managing general agencies. David focuses on ensuring efficiency of our processes, procedures and delivery of services for both personal and commercial insurance.

Amalia joined the agency in 1998. She has a vast knowledge of personal insurance and manages our Personal Insurance Associates across our seven locations. Her team provides guidance and solutions to protect the individuals and families including auto, home, recreational vehicle and personal umbrella insurance. Amalia is based at our Hudson office.

Holly joined the agency in 2016 and has over 18 years industry experience in claims and commercial insurance underwriting having worked at regional and national companies. She manages our Business Insurance Customer Service Associate team, who handle customer relationships, insurance research and underwriting for businesses of all types from corporate to small businesses. She works out of our Marlborough office.

Pauline joined the agency in 1989. She oversees our Financial Insurance group. She and her team work with individuals and businesses helping them to protect their future. For individuals, they provide life, disability and long-term care insurance; fixed annuities and more. For businesses, they can provide a full range of employee benefits including group health, life and disability as well as use insurance solutions to create a business continuation plan. While Pauline is frequently on the road, she is based out of our Marlborough office.
