about

Shrewsbury is located  in Central Massachusetts, 39 miles west of Boston along Route 9 in Worcester County. It is an unusual New England town in that Shrewsbury was neither a mill town nor a farming village; it grew as a suburb of Worcester. The town is residential with a healthy mix of retail and other commercial development. Today, much of the economy is involved with supply services such as recreation and food to the population of Worcester. The town has a strong school system, and the newly renovated Shrewsbury High School is the local high school.
