Located about 18 miles southwest of Boston, Sherborn is a suburban town that has maintained much of its rural character. This tight knit community is proud of its rural heritage, which is evident in the active farms and orchards, the Town Forest and other preserved public lands. Open space makes up more than 50% of the town's area. Route 27 runs through the town giving it easy access to the surrounding area. Sherborn's school system, which is thares with the town of Dover, is well respected. The town follows the Open Town Meeting form of government and has a 3 member Board of Selectmen.
