Hudson is a suburban town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts about twenty-eight miles west of Boston along Interstate 495. The town employs the Open Town Meeting form of government with a Town Administrator and an elected, 5-member Board of Selectmen. The local high school is Hudson High School and also Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. Hudson was a "shoe town" and at one point had 17 shoe factories, which attracted many immigrant workers to the town, Hudson has a large population of Portuguese decent.
